There are places you don’t just walk through with your feet. Patagonia, at least for me, is a land you travel with memory, with a lens, with ears wide open to the wind. The first time I set foot in Puerto Natales, I knew this place held more than just landscapes. There was an echo. A calling.

Years later, with a camera in one hand and a notebook in the other, I understood I didn’t come here to capture Patagonia—but to be captured by it. Many of my photographs were born from that surrender. So was my book, Memorias de una voz oculta—a memoir of paths that intertwine art, instinct, and the unpredictable journey of entrepreneurship.

I didn’t write this book just to tell a story. I wrote it to invite you. To pause. To observe. To explore Patagonia not just as a traveler, but as someone willing to listen to an ancient voice. That voice might hide in a lone bird gliding through the sky, in the mist over Grey Lake, or in the perfect silence right before dawn.

Hay lugares que no se recorren solo con los pies. La Patagonia, al menos para mí, se recorre también con la memoria, con el lente, con el oído atento al viento. Desde que puse un pie en Puerto Natales por primera vez, supe que había algo más allá del paisaje. Un eco. Un llamado.

Años después, con una cámara en una mano y un cuaderno en la otra, entendí que no iba a esta tierra a capturarla, sino a dejarme capturar por ella. Así nacieron muchas de mis fotos. Así también nació mi libro Memorias de una voz oculta, una bitácora de caminos cruzados entre el arte, el instinto y la vida emprendedora.

No escribí este libro solo para contar una historia. Lo escribí para invitar. A detenerse. A mirar. A recorrer la Patagonia no solo como un turista, sino como quien escucha una voz antigua. Esa voz puede estar en una bandurria que cruza el cielo, en la niebla que cubre el Sendero del Lago Grey, o en el silencio exacto que se oye justo antes del amanecer.
